There once, was a little girl from Massachusetts. She would go to Cape Cod every summer. One summer, she looked out at the ocean and there she saw the most amazing creature ever! The creature, had green eyes and very long black hair that was decked in pearls. The little girl started screaming. "LOOK!!! There is a mermaid!" Cried the child, as the tail shot up into the air and the beautiful figure dove under the deep. The little girl's grandmother sat her down and said, "That is the mermaid of Cape Cod. She cries in the spring, till the waters grow warm from her tears. She cries from joy that the long winter loneliness is over. She weeps, because she is so happy that the people who visit the ocean shore are returning. As the only mermaid in this local, she gets so very lonely... Not many get to see her though....." I would give anything, all these years later to see that green eyed siren again. But, alas, she will never appear to me a second time. Because, she is only visible to children or to the few who still possess a child's heart.

These remind me of the ocean at the Sea Pines beach in Brewster Cape Cod.... I would give anything to see the ocean there just one more time... Because who knows? Maybe the child's heart in all of us never truly fades away......

These are beautiful and beach themed made from my wonderment at the beauty of the sea to commemorate the story my grandma used to tell me, of the Mermaid's Tear's Of Joy. May they bring who ever wears them all the joy of the mermaid and serve as a reminder that we are never alone. We all have hearts as deep as the ocean. These would be beautiful for a bride having a beach wedding or for a renewal of the vows ceremony. So put these on to feel like a joyful mermaid.
